Here’s how to prepare a classic Greek salad ideal for weight loss.


  • 1 cup of chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 chopped cucumber
  • 1/2 green pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 red onion chopped into slices or small cubes
  • 1/4 cup of black olives, whole or chopped
  • 1/2 cup of feta cheese or cream cheese cut into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of crushed dried oregano
  • Juice of one lemon
  • A pinch of salt or pepper (optional)


Step 1: Put all the ingredients in a bowl except the olive oil, the lemon juice, the oregano, and the feta cheese. Then we proceed to mix a little with a spoon, after which we proceed to add the feta and move a bit more in a gentle way.

Step 2: In a bowl, put the ingredients that will be our dressing, which is: the juice of a lemon, half a teaspoon of crushed dried oregano, a tablespoon of olive oil, and optionally add a pinch of salt or pepper. Then we proceed to mix with a spoon.

Step 3: pour over the salad the dressing we prepared in step #2
